Heart Rate Holter Monitor

Holter Heart Monitor records over a period of 72 hours, of up to 13 different types of arrhythmias SPATCH EX©.

CMED has at its disposal the modern 72-hour rhythm Holter Monitor S-PATCH EX©, which can detect, diagnose and monitor 13 different types of arrhythmias. Placing the device is very easy and comfortable for the person being examined as it is done at home, while the Patch sensor is ergonomically designed and battery-operated. The data is transferred to a mobile phone via Bluetooth which we provide free of charge. At the end of the recording, the data is sent to a medical platform for analysis. The final report contains all data provided by the Holter Monitor, as well as any findings, and is sent within 48 hours to the treated patient or to their treating physician.

The analysis of the recordings using the S-Patch methodology (Note: 72-hour monopolar  electrocardiographic monitoring) and the relevant opinions are carried out under the scientific supervision of Vardas Cardiovascular Company, led by Professor Mr. P. Vardas.

What is Heart Rate Holter Monitor?

The electrocardiogram (ECG) or cardiogram is a quick, painless, paraclinical examination of the activity of the heart with good specificity and sensitivity. It monitors and records the electrical activity of thebeating heart muscles, rendering characteristic graphs through the electrocardiograph on special paper or screen (1). Willem Eindhoven discovered the principles of ECG recording and interpretation in 1893, winning the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1924 (2). The electrocardiogram does not take long and in many cases there is a need for long-term recording of the heart rhythm in order to increase the chances of detecting heart arrhythmias, since their frequency of occurrence is not determined. In these cases, a long-term heart rhythm recording device (Holter monitor) or an ambulatory electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) should be placed. The Holter Monitor has the ability to record the heart rate continuously for more than 24 hours. Studies have shown that the longer the period of continuous heart rate recording, the greater the chances of detecting cardiac arrhythmias (3,4).
